i'll get to the hugs part in a moment but let me first share with you our Easter Sunday.
it was a lovely Easter Sunday and we had kyla and her little fam and erin over.
everton and hazel hunted for eggs.
and took some family pics...
this red headed 10 month old is starting to walk!
having a girl means adorable Easter dresses!!!!!!
i'm in love with the fact the charlotte's eyes are blue, they could change later but right now i'm cherishing the fact that i have a blue eyed baby. i do hope they stay blue though! there's a chance they could stay, i mean, look at kyla's baby boy, blue eyed and red haired!
and Easter means it's time to binge on peeps! and it thrills me that they've come out with new awesome flavors!
and i just had to quickly throw this up on the blog. my AWESOME friend jill got me jon bernthal's autograph from salt lake's most recent comic con for my early birthday present!! if you don't know who he is, he was in the walking dead, which is a super gross show but with a really good storyline. i didn't get to go this time to comic con because charlotte's nursing schedule wouldn't have made it very fun. but thanks to jill for bringing me back a piece of comic con back! (a might fine piece i might add ;-) jkjk brett, you know i know you hot! p.s. i promise i'll take the picture down from the fridge.)
then we dyed eggs.
note to self-using chunky glitter while decorating eggs will make peeling the eggs very tedious and messy. clean off before EATING.
now, the reason why i need hugs-virtual and real....
EVERTON IS GOING TO PRESCHOOL!....
next week.
pretty much right after he turns 3, which is this sunday.
ask me about it and i could cry at the drop of a hat.
he'll be going to school at the early learning center for his speech delay.
i know i know, lots of people said to just wait and one day he'll just start talking. but it was worrying me that kids his age have a vocabulary of over 100 words and everton has like, 10 words. and even then he doesn't finish out the word. as much as it KILLS me that he's going to school a lot earlier than i planned, i'm really hoping this will boost his talking so that we're all not frustrated as to what he needs and wants. and it would be freaking nice if he called me mommy! they ruled out autism so he's pretty much just taking his sweet time in speaking english. but action, animal, minion, and random vehicle sounds? he's got those in the bag.
and what kills me even more, is the fact that he'll be taking the bus.
is everton ready for school?
or is school ready for everton?

Whatever shall you do with your time? I vote nap.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun easter! *virtual hug for now till I see you* That will be a hard transition letting Everton leave, but you're doing the right thing by helping him learn as much as he can. Hang in there! He'll be calling you mommy in no time!
ReplyDelete*virtual hug* i'm not a mom yet - but I just loved this post. Your memes are right on. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteHe'll be FINE in preschool! We've registered Jacey for the fall!!
ReplyDeleteI totally feel the same way about preschool. It was a hard choice, but I'm sure you made the right one- he's going to have so much fun! You can always pull him if you later feel it was too soon, but I bet it's going to hurt you a whole lot more than it'll hurt him ;)
