i cry at the close

sighhhhhh
the harry potter series is over.
my girl jill had the HUGEST hook up ever.
2 tickets to the last harry potter movie for the DAY BEFORE the actual opening day (today).  and it was 5 pm.  i didn't have to wait till midnight.
she got the tickets from the blog freebies2deals and we didn't have to wait in a freakin huge line for hours.  the blogger had rented out the WHOLE theater.
also, while waiting for the movie to start they gave away tons of gift cards from the theater and other free goodies.  and after the movie everyone got a chipotle meal voucher.
whatta way to end this excellent movie series.

the movie.  was beautiful.
i know i'm being horribly dramatic but they ended the movie perfectly.  it was soo true to the book.
and i cried during the movie.  i cried a lot.
my inner harry potter nerd has truly busted through as i sobbed as harry, ron, and hermione finished their last adventure.
i think i can blame my tears on those blasted breastfeeding hormones as well.
i cried because it was ending.
i don't know what to do with myself now that it's seriously over.
i've been with this series pretty much since it first came out.
i remember when we got my first book at costco and the cashier was like, "oh you just missed the author j.k. rowling doing a book signing."  and i didn't really think much about it.
(son of a.....)
this was a part of my childhood.

maybe this time i didn't get to go to the midnight showing as was tradition with my high school friends.
i went instead with my awesome friend and neighbor jill and it was during the day.
maybe i didn't really dress up as some character as i thought i would for this epic ending.
instead i just went in some skinny jeans and a green shirt.
heaven knows having a 2 month old doesn't allow me as much freedom as i had before.
i can barely stay up past midnight nowadays.
but whatevs.  this little mama is still allowed to have some nerdy fun.
thanks to j.k rowling and harry for the magic.
wow.
whatta
geeeeeeeeek.

  2. Absolutely loved it! I totally felt the same way too. These were characters I grew up with and it was bittersweet to see the end. SO true to the books right down to the epilogue that made me smile and shed a few tears. GReat review :)
