mornings are for the birds

i am super grateful i don't have to work.
and because i don't have to work and because i'm getting pregnanter and pregnanter (making up words) these days, sleeping has become more precious so i like sleeping in as much as i can.
and lately i've been getting REALLY ANNOYED at these birds "making music" in the mornings.  and this morning they seemed to be even louder.  i'm a light sleeper so i don't need one more thing preventing me from sleeping right now.

you see, when we first moved in we saw there were these nest things right at the top on the front of our house, RIGHT above our bedroom window.  we thought they were hornets nests and lo and behold, those nests houses demonic birds.  when they're flying around up there sometimes they hit our window and i'm always scared they're gonna actually go through it one day...just like in the movie-"the birds."
i was on a rampage this morning and i googled "how to get rid of annoying birds"
some hippy dippy people were like, "don't hurt poor defenseless birds"-bullcrap
some people were like, shoo, just throw something at it, bb gun it, get a cat (i have been tempted to throw a cat in the tree where the birds hang out,) put a fake owl on your house?, etc etc.
i also read somewhere that it's against the law to destroy a nest while it has baby birds in it or something?
sighhhhh i don't know what to do.
we're gonna maybe talk to our realtor about just moving the nests somewhere else perhaps.
and we better do it soon before i go on a bird massacre.
check these other pics out to see how certain birds can ruin our lives...

  1. These stupid birds and their stupid nests are protected by the government and it's illegal to remove them.

I, personally, could care less, but my husband is a law-abiding citizen. Dang it.

  2. too bad you can't do what my dad does. he gets his elmer fudd on! grabs his gun, sneaks outside and then shoots into the air to scare the MILLIONS of annoying little birds that take up the trees around the house as their resting spot. i feel for ya though, my neighbor has a bird feeder, yet the bird like to hang on my house and poop on my car!

  3. LOL!!! this is hilarious. I HATE birds. I think because I always slept in a basement and had a fan on for white noise, I never noticed them until we moved to VA. and then those darn things were there every morning! Try a white noise fan to block them out....
