the day of love

brett and i have had a really good valentine's this year, it keeps getting better and better each time. with valentine's landing on a sunday this year almost everyone here in mormonville celebrated on saturday. on saturday i worked from 9-2, it was really busy and stressful. i came home from work smelling like a wet dog covered in raspberry juice. but on our dining table were just the most sweetest things brett gave me.
a cute valentine's card, chocolates, roses, (all of which are a must) and a willow tree figurine that i've been wanting since we've gotten married.
i bawled like a freakin baby, just like i always do when brett surprises me. he's turned me into the sappiest, sissiest girl ever. before i was ever married i could watch the saddest/chickiest movie and not shed a tear. my mom would call me the grinch. now i cry during sweet commercials and every movie that deals with the loss of a loved one. the movie p.s. i love you was really bad. i couldn't stop crying within the first 20 mins we had to stop the movie and finish it the next day.
so anyways that night we set out for our fantastic valentine's date. i love our special dates where we actually plan what we wanna do, not just drive around and figure out what kind of food we're in the mood for...
we wanted to go to our fav restaurant texas roadhouse but when we got there it was SOOOO PACKED! and they told us the wait was gonna be about 60-75 mins. geeze, i guess their buttery rolls and juicy steak isn't that worth it...also we had a movie to catch so we didn't have time to wait. so we walked on over to TGIFs where i got my steak, but no buttery rolls. :( its ok though, brett and i were stuffed. then we went to the theater to see valentine's day. i thought it was fitting to watch such a movie. also i usually don't drag brett to see chick flicks with me but for valentine's...don't care.
i'm in love with my eternal valentine
