so last night i felt like attempting to clean out my closet and here's what the horrendous mess looked like...

i absolutely LOVE a clean closet! also whenever i clean up and organize my shoes i like to take inventory...

i threw away 12 crappy/falling apart shoes
i have 32 pairs of shoes
and 9 pairs of flip flops
53 in all and 41 in my closet right now

ohhhh shoot.

it was also a good time to finally use this really pretty crystal vase we got for our wedding. the couple who gave it to us got the vase from germany...brett is so darling. i love getting wonderful gifts of love at random times.

brett and i just got back from WV last thursday. the flight back wasn't as bad as the trip flying out there...but still we are SOOO sick of flying right now. we really hope we don't have to fly anytime soon, well we don't have anymore money to fly anyways. i told brett that the next time we fly it better be in a year or 2 and it better be to hawaii! i hope.

being back home in Charles Town was really fun. i forgot how much i really missed my house. but oh my freakin goodness i forgot how HUMID it gets there!! brett and i were melting everyday. i guess one of the only things i like about idaho, or at least in this part of the US, is the dryness in the summer. winters still suck horrible. my parents had a lot planned for our stay out there. some of the things we did was...

go to George Washington's house in Mt. Vernon

brett really enjoyed this trip b/c he just finished reading a 600+pg book on George Washington, he's pretty much brett's hero now

and we also went to King's Dominion, its an amusement park in VA

and then we went to Virginia Beach!

homegirl is SO MUCH TALLER than me now! its sick, she'll be turning 16 this sept. i can't believe it! she's a ♥breaker. our other sister, kyla who is now 18, just got married and is now living in UT. so i didn't get to see her at all when brett and i went back to WV...but it was fun hanging out with erin and how much more or less grown up she's gotten...haha jk girl

okok thats all the pics i promise...whew that was a lot. i was so grateful we were able to go back home to see my family. we had so much fun out east spending a lot of time in the sun and spending a lot of time with my family, which never EVER seems to be enough...i'm glad i was able to spend a lot more time with brett too. i love vacations, taking tonza pictures, being with my darling brett, getting sweet tans, and being with family.

1 year

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!

brett and i have made it for a WHOLE year! it was exactly this day on august 16, 2008 my dreamboy and i got married in the beautiful D.C. Temple. i'm so grateful for brett, i can't ever say it enough! we haven't had any major problems yet, we're probably still honeymoonin it but thats ok. i'm still madly in l♥ve with him. we've had so many adventures together and i can't wait to have millions kachillions more!! sorry i'm such a HUGE sap. i absolutely can't help it. since being married i now cry during movies and i need some cuddlin time ALL the time! i'm a n00b....

so for our anniversary we went to a japanese steakhouse restaurant. well we went out to dinner on friday night since our anniversary lands on a sunday when we can't really do anything...so yeah we had actually attended my friend heidi's wedding reception then went off to dinner. it was sorta funny, going to a wedding reception then celebrating our anniversary. but i felt really bad we couldn't stay long at her reception (sorry heidi!) but yeah dinner was so fun. i had never been to a crazy japanese restaurant where they cook the food in front of you...anywayz, it was super delicious. so then today, our actual anniversary date, we ate our top tier of our wedding cake. i was actually really scared thinking we were going to get food poisoned, especially after hearing a few horror stories. :) but it was just as good as the magical day we first cut it. haha. my wedding cake was funfetti. awesome. pics will come soon. we didn't bring our cord to hook the camera up to the comp. so whatever.

i am home now, back in WV! well brett says rexburg crappin idaho is my home now but home to me is where family is...if that makes sense....its been a WHOLE year since i've been back, ever since i got married out here in fact!

the flight(s) coming out here sucked though. here was the itinerary...drive from rexburg to salt lake city by 3ish, fly from SLC at 5 to Phoenix at 6, left phoenix at 7 to las vegas at 8, then left LV at 10ish to D.C. at 5....UGH we're sick of flying right now. but the flight was alright cuz i was with my honey, he's my shoulder to fall asleep on. i love being with him so much.

anywhoz before i get into the jones happenins here's what's been happenin just last week! the caldwell reunion! hooray! it was awesome. we all stayed at these really nice cabins up at bear lake. soooo beautiful!

the water was really beautiful and hanging out with family is the ultimate best. my bro-in-law and his family that lives in tyler, tx wasn't able to make it, but otherwise everybody else in the family was able to make it. this was the first time i've been able to see most of the clan together. i'm grateful for such great in-laws. i love them very much. they are so fun to talk to. i'm the oldest in my family and brett is the youngest of 6. so its been quite different b/t the 2 families.

i swear, i think i just have the cutest nieces and nephews EVER! i went from having 0 to 19 nieces and nephews when i got married. it was a quite a shock to me. but its so much fun being an auntie!

brett water skiied! i was so proud of him! he said it had been awhile since he's skiied. he was so cute!

it hurt so freakin bad!

but i got some sweet tan lines when it went away.

we boated, tubed, ate, chatted and shared so many laughs. the reunion was such a blast. well i'm actually gonna go and play guitar hero with my younger sis, i miss it so much!

I'm so grateful my dad came out to see me graduate. my mom wasn't able to make it, it was totally ok. i'm lucky to have such loving parents who have supported me all my life. it was my parents who had always pounded into me that school is important.

and here is my darling, my brett. he's helped me through so much these past few semesters and i LOVE him SOOOOOO much! it makes me happy to have him by my side and now i just need to get a job and support my honey through school. he has about a year and a half left and lets pray it goes by fast! i'm gettin pretty sick of rexburg let me tell you!

beginning

This is my first blog ever and i'm still learning the ropes of the blog world. Tuesdays and Thursdays i don't have class while Brett has 1 class those days. On mondays and wednesdays i have 2 and on fridays i have 3. Brett's at work right now and i'm freaking bored. I was supposed to go to a symphony performance for extra credit for my russian culture class but i lost my keys and brett rode his bike to work with his keys i coulda used in his pocket so i'm stuck here....blah blah blah, pretty boring for the first blog entry. hopefully it'll get exciting and adventurous in the future....
